Additional Inspector General of Training Punjab Tariq Masood Yaseen said on Tuesday that steps are being taken to upgrade the standard of all police training colleges of the province and to alter the conventional culture. Chairing a meeting at the central police office (CPO) here on Tuesday, the AIG said except making games, physical exercise part of syllabus training modules are being arranged in accordance to duties of personnel so that they may perform their professional obligations in the field more effectively.

He further said that all trainers have been bound to behave courteously with personnel during training and if any trainer or house master found abusing or admonishing without due reason then a disciplinary action will be taken against them. DIG Training Waqar Abbasi, chief law instructors from police training schools, psychologists from training institutions and delegates from the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, Dolphin Force, Traffic Police and PITB participated in the meeting.

In the session, the participants decided to introduce new syllabus for the upcoming police constables. In new training courses, I.T. subjects, general knowledge, current affairs and media management training will be included.
